Founded in 1999 by Mary-Lynne McKee, the club was created to empower young women in the New York metropolitan area through lacrosse after noticing a lack of postseason opportunities for girls. The organization has grown to over 13 travel teams guided by core values of player development, sportsmanship, leadership, accountability, responsibility, and camaraderie. In national rankings, the club is ranked girls #97 on US Club Lax. The program connects with families online through its @metromagiclax Instagram and official Facebook page.

Programs
The Metro Magic travel program serves 7 age groups from 3rd grade through 11th grade (graduation years 2028-2035/36), operating as a year-round program where membership is determined by annual tryouts. Seasonal activities include fall practices and multi-state tournaments in locations such as Bel Air MD and Bradenton FL, followed by indoor training sessions at the Torne Valley Bubble in the winter. Spring training features APEX stick-work sessions at the Torne Valley Bubble, while the summer schedule brings practices and tournaments in Maryland, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. The club utilizes several primary training facilities, including Sloatsburg Community Fields, Torne Valley, and the Torne Valley Bubble.

TUITION
Cost to play
The site states that tryout registration fees will be applied toward membership fees if a player makes the team. In addition, there is no registration fee for 2035/36 tryouts.
