Philly Blast Lacrosse centers its mission on teaching a team game and developing every player across the organization. The organization demonstrates strong on-field results, including recognition as a US Club Lax top-25 ranked team with its 2026 group ranked 18th nationally.
Tryout registration is now open for the upcoming 2026-2027 season, with club tryouts held in June & July. Sessions take place on campus at The Episcopal Academy, where evaluations occur annually and require athletes to attend at least one tryout date. Directors note that it is highly recommended to attend both session dates, particularly for newcomers seeking a roster spot.
Specific fee schedules are outlined in formal team invitations following evaluations, and registering players must submit an initial non-refundable deposit.
Philly Blast is guided by co-directors Josie Ferri Tomaino, head coach at The Episcopal Academy, and Julie Shaner Young, who brings Division I collegiate coaching experience.
