The Soccer Association of Columbia (SAC) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit youth soccer club based in Ellicott City, Maryland. The club trains and hosts matches at Bob Lucido Fields at Covenant Park, located at 4560 Centennial Lane. The club states its mission is to provide instructional and competitive soccer for boys and girls ages 3 to 19, focusing on character, community, teamwork, and respect. Programs
SAC organizes its programming across five levels: introductory Juniors for ages 3 to 6, recreational play through Rec and High School Rec up to age 19, tryout-based Select for ages 8 to 14, and competitive Travel for ages 7 to 19. Beyond its core recreational and travel tiers, the club highlights its Baltimore Armour Academy for top-tier competitors, supported by camps, clinics, and technical sessions. Fall league play begins in September, the spring season features eight games per division, winter includes indoor Sofive or outdoor sessions for travel athletes, and summer brings recreational leagues alongside advanced camps.

Cost to play
Published rates range from $220 to $230 for Jr Academy, $350 to $370 for Rec, $520 to $540 for Rec Plus, $320 to $340 for High School Rec, and $380 to $400 for Select. Travel club dues run between $2,550 and $3,850 and cover league matches, tournaments, outdoor practice, winter training, goalkeeper and technical sessions by phase, referee fees, carding, coaching salaries, Veo, and facility maintenance. Travel families pay an initial $600 deposit with an optional six-month payment schedule, save $100 when paying in full, and purchase uniforms separately through Soccer.com. Households enrolling three or more children across Junior Academy, Recreation, or Select divisions can request a family rate via the registrar at registrar@sac-hc.org.

Licensed coaching standards
SAC requires travel coaching applicants to hold at least a USSF D license or equivalent credential, and the club reports having five A-licensed coaches on staff.
